Nantucket * Original Artwork * Long Lightship Basket

I found this unusual lightship basket in the Hospital Thriftshop right here on Nantucket Island. It was not made here, but it was made by hand by somebody. So it is not "authentic". I painted it with acrylic paint and sealed it with non-yellowing varnish. I have one of my favorite designs painted on it, which is also on my "Night Garden" soap box.

It measures 9.5 long x 5.5 wide and 1.5 inches tall.

Only one-of-a-kind in the whole wide world!
